Faux Postage

Schmetterlinge und Liebe passen also gut zusammen ;-)

Immer her damit!

In diesem Sinne einen schönen Rest-Tag,
Gabriele

I used this card in order to play around a bit with a faux postage template I saw on Anke's page.

Even this playing around was big fun for me and I soon had at least 1000 ideas how to use the template.

Here my first idea... a card again having the topic Love... you can`t get enough from it, can you? *g*

I dabbed the background with a sponge and acrylics. Then I sprinkled some golden glitter into the wet colour. Unfortunately you cannot see too much of this on the foto, but I finally did not want to have too much glitter on the red background. After drying I stamped it.

The heart on the left side of the card was a kind of meditation for me: I simply glued, coloured etc the form of the heart in different ways... well, that's the result: The Eiffel Tower comes from the Graphics Fairy... you can find tons of really beautiful vintage images there.
Originally the ribbon is the protection tape of a golden self-adhering ribbon. I also dabbed this tape with acrylics. At the bottom of the heart you can see a bit of a vellum having some handwritten letters on it.

Last but not least: a small butterfly on the left... since that's what you have in your stomach when you`re in love. Hence, butterflies and love perfectly match ;-)

I wanted to avoid to have the heart directly on the patterned background. Therefore I used a paper lace as a ribbon and .... guess???? How did I colour it? Riiight: I dabbed it with... (please complete on your own *gg*)

I really like the faux postage... let`s see how I`ll use it next time. Now, looking onto the photo, I recognized that I cut it out in a wrong way. I should have had a wider cut out, in my opinion. And I think there could be something at the bottom of the card. Don't know what... or do you think this would be too much? Hmmm, questions and more questions... Anyone having advice? Just give it to me!

Wishing you a great rest of the day
Gabriele

Thanks a lot!
I still have to try this other "version": to leave more space and have a wider cut out.
